Bridal Makeup in Hampshire

I’m so lucky that Salisbury, where I live, is such a beautiful area. I’m within 45 minutes of the coast and the New Forest and I get asked to do a lot of bridal makeup for brides and their parties who are getting married in Hampshire.

Hampshire

Hampshire, being such a big county stretches from just a hop away from London to the South coast. Covering places such as Winchester, Portsmouth, Basingstoke, Lymington and 150 square miles of New Forest!

Wedding Venues in Hampshire

Hampshire has some amazing luxury hotels and wedding venues, from the Mill at Gordleton in Lymington to the classic elegance of the Hotel to Vin in Winchester to the grandeur of Tylnley Hall, a Grade II listed luxury country house in Hook.

New Forest weddings are one of my favourites as I got married (many years ago!) at the gorgeous Careys Manor Hotel in Brockenhurst. I am very privileged to have been the makeup artist on many weddings in the New Forest and the drive to the wedding in the morning (or night before if its a very early start!) is always such a peaceful and calm way to start the day, and such a perfect setting for a wedding.

I travel all over the South coast and have had brides getting married in Hampshire who live in London, the North and even ones who have flown in from Australia for their big day. In this instance, trials can be arranged in my studio in Salisbury or I can travel to a place convenient to you. On the morning of your wedding I’ll arrive bright and early, in plenty of time to set up before making you look totally perfect for your big day!

Bridal Skin Care and Beauty

Skin

You can improve your complexion by taking advice from a beauty therapist who can work with your skin type to create a programme of treatments tailor made to help your skin look it’s very best on your wedding day. If the wedding budget permits, a course of facials, which can work wonders to revive your skin, are a fabulous opportunity to lay back, relax and eliminate any wedding day stress. If you are on a limited wedding budget, then there are many high street products to help you prepare your skin for your wedding makeup. You can gently exfoliate your skin weekly beforehand, cleanse regularly and even pamper yourself with a face mask. Drinking plenty of water is really beneficial for your skin, as are early nights!

We can offer advice on beauty services from experienced professionals to complement our bridal makeup across Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset, email us for more information.

Fake that Glow!

Bikini strap marks won’t look great with a strapless gown and sunburnt or peeling skin can be very difficult to cover up so please don’t forget to be careful when you are out in the sun. Fake tan can look fabulous when applied properly but the results vary immensely so please try out the look you want for your wedding beforehand to avoid any wedding day disasters! You should aim for a natural look and it might be worth getting a professional to do it for you if you find application of the product tricky. Remember fake tan streaks can show in your professional photographs so do think about it carefully!

Nails

Wedding day hands and nails will receive a lot attention on your wedding day as guests will want to see your wedding and engagement rings and some photographers like to take close ups of them too! Start using a good hand cream and make time for a good manicure before your special day. Artificial nails can look fabulous, however, they do require regular maintenance – be sure to ask your manicurist how to care for your nails whilst on honeymoon.

Teresa also offers packages of luxury manicures and eyelash/brow tinting and shaping to get you looking perfect before your big day.Contact her for more details

And most importantly…

Try not to get too stressed out with all of the preparations for your big day and make time to spoil yourself! Your big day will pass by so quickly, make sure that you really take time to enjoy the run up. We hope you have a truly memorable Wedding Day!
